Atlantic Storm Fay - 2008

How close will Fay pass to Panama City Area?

This was a radar image taken on KTLH at 8:35pm CDT on Aug. 22nd, 2008. Fay is close to making a 4th landfall on the big bend area of Florida. She should pass somewhere close or even south of Panama City Beach, sometime after lunch time on Saturday the 23rd. The latest models seem to keep Fay moving to the west, maybe just slight north or south of due west for the next 12-24hrs. It is looking very likely that Fay may now RE-ENTER the Gulf Of Mexico of the coast of Gulf/Bay County around noon time Saturday. Image 2 made with Google Earth showing the 00Z Aug. 22nd 2008 runs.

Fay has finally passed through northwest Florida area, with much less than forecasted rainfall for some locations. Full detailed reports to follow in coming days. Thanks to Titan Storm Team 13 - Storm Chaser's - Brett and Gary for coming by Panama City.
